With a group of designer colleagues I enjoyed an afternoon visiting this garden in autumn 2024. Very interesting to see the naturalistic planting and sculpting of this space near the house, recently designed and constructed by an esteemed group of designers.
A large flat walled garden was reconstructed into undulating surfaces and planted with a wide variety of perennials and grasses. Footpaths and mulched surfaces are built with a variety of small aggregates/crushed concrete etc. A brave and exciting approach to 'letting go' or 'having a conversation with nature'... where the gardening team will maintain the garden in a way that is less controlling, open to see what seeds around, what surprises evolve over time.
