Services Offered for this project : Create Masterplan for Client, Sourcing a landscaper and oversee build, Source Plants and Planting, organise lighting and electrician.
Garden Design : It was a pleasure to do a Small Contemporary Courtyard Garden in Hastings. It is always challenging to work in small spaces - so much attention to detail, every square inch has to be carefully considered. I worked with the clients to achieve a design that celebrated the use of cedar wood, which naturally silvers down over the next year or two. Thank you to my friend Tina Vallis for some useful ideas given to me in the classic 'written on a serviette' way over a coffee.
Source Landscaper and oversee build : I again had the pleasure of working with Frogheath Landscapes. They built my idea for a water feature to hide the brick pillar on the wall. Graham and his team did a wonderful job of creating this cedar and slate waterfall which just purrs beautifully into a small reservoir. Porcelain tiles for flooring, and much use of cedar wood to create trellis work and also to hide a lot of unpleasant pipework on the kitchen wall. All the seating lifts up to reveal storage spaces.
Lighting : Thanks to Dave the electrician for the wonderful collection of good quality stainless steel lighting fixtures expertly organised to a variety of switches indoors.
