About me
I enjoy the process of helping clients to find exactly what they would most like from their garden space. I help them to evolve their current gardens or start from scratch and design and construct new spaces.
I do this by creating a variety of elements within a project including new lawn shapes, patios, arches, fences, trellis work, water features and rockeries. An element I'm passionate about is the planting. This can be done in a modern or traditional way. I like to celebrate a variety of shapes and sizes to create interest, depending on the design. Many clients like evergreen, 'low maintenance' plant combinations. Other clients are keen gardeners and like to enjoy more complexity.
I'm available to do design work and costing is flexible based on the complexities of the request. I generally collaborate with landscapers providing the design and soft landscaping (plants, planting, mulching).
I also have been managing a long term project evolving a medium sized garden in Winchelsea. Many new flower borders, reshaped lawn, new trellis work, new irrigation system, replenished old borders, new patios and raised beds using natural sandstone. All the new plantings and garden maintenance have been and continue to be done by myself and my assistant. See Chelsea Cottage
So many happy memories (below) of design, landscaping and maintenance projects over the years since 2002 when I started as a maintenance gardener, growing my skills and collaborating with friends/colleagues, building many small and medium sized projects. Previously, I trained with two small companies, one in Canada and one later in the UK.
I have also grown my 'eye' over the years with a love of art...mainly watercolours : https://www.joemusselwhite.com
